Wood, well chosen and well treated, lasts decades. What wears first is the hardware: it's the only part that moves several times a day for years.
That's why we don't treat it as a last-minute accessory. Hardware selection happens at the design stage, alongside the internal layout.
The criteria we apply
Front weight and size, frequency of use, type of contents (a cutlery drawer isn't a pot drawer), the height the piece sits at, and environmental conditions: humidity, proximity to the sea, steam exposure in kitchens and bathrooms.
We carry several brands precisely so we can match the choice to the project and the budget, instead of always forcing the same solution.
Tested before leaving the workshop
Before leaving the workshop, every piece is assembled and reviewed in full: doors, drawers and opening systems are tested, edges, fills and joints checked, and anything needed is corrected there, not in the client's home.
Catching a problem in the workshop costs an hour; catching it installed costs a removal.
And if something fails later
If normal use stops a piece of hardware from working, we review it and adjust or replace it. We aim to reply the same day and schedule the visit within the same week.
